Art Colouring Book

Today we went on Art Colouring Book,We had to pick a picture we wanted to do.It showed there version and a blank one.There were the colours they used and other bright bold colours that I used.I decided to use pink because its a bright  colour and I thought it would look nice on this plant.

This is my first one!

I found it tricky to choose my colours.

I enjoyed colouring it in.

Next time I would change the colours.

And This is the original one!

I like this original one because I thought the flower colours looked nice and I like the colour of the vase.I really like this one and I think the original person who coloured it did a great job!

Spooky House

 For our reading we made our own spooky house.

I found it tricky to find a good color for the house.

I enjoyed making my spooky house.

Next time I would change the color of my house.

Thank you for your time to join us in camp and doing the activities.My favorite was the luge. I was scared at first but then I did it and I really enjoyed it.

 Thank you for joining us in our year 5 & 6 camp. It was kind of you to join us. It was fun playing that team game with green,yellow,red,humans and disease. 

I couldn’t stop laughing when Ocean wanted to get chased and you snuck up behind her and got her It was so funny! I also enjoyed paintball. The movie was cool as well.

Jungle Law

 This week in reading we read the Jungle Law. For our task this week we had to create a poster with a block of the words from page 22.  I choose the jaguar because it looks like it is ready to pounce, in the book it looked like it was crouching but I wanted it to look like it was creeping up on something.

I created my digital learning by stacking the same grass and sent it to the back of the jaguar so its not in the way and I wanted the grass to be tall. 

I found it tricky to type all of the words from page 22.

I found it easy to stack the grass and make it look tall.

I enjoyed finding the images.

 Today we were doing our own self portrait pop art! The site we used was lunapic.

First take a selfie then you click upload next you click art or filter! then you choose any filter you want after that press save then add it on google drawing and your done!

I found it tricky to stretch the pictures out so it doesn't look weird

We were learning reports.we cut the report into stripes and tried to put all the stripes into a order that makes sense and how you think how it goes i did my one with my friend ocean and she was a good help.
I enjoyed making this with ocean.
I found it tricky to put the stripes in paragraphs.
Next time i would change the order we put the stripes in and try putting them in the paragraphs we were meant to.

Matariki

We are learning about Matariki.
I found it tricky to find the facts.
I enjoyed writing.

 What is Matariki?

Matariki is a cluster of stars.You can only see 7 but there are 9 stars.the 9 stars these are their names.The mother is Matariki, and her daughters are Tupu-ā-nuku, Tupu-ā-rangi, Waipuna Rangi, Waitī, Waitā, and Ururangi. In the Māori language, Matariki is both the name of the Pleiades star cluster and also of the season of its first rising in late May or early June. This is a marker of the beginning of the new year .Matariki, the Māori New Year, is rich with tradition. Discover the importance of Matariki, and explore ways that you can celebrate the Māori New Year with your family. Matariki is officially celebrated on 13 July 2020.

Tupuanuku

Tupuanuku is the star connected to food grown in the ground. Tupu means to grow and nuku is the shortened version of Papatuanuku and means earth.

 Tuarangi

 Tuarangi is the star that connects the cluster to the harvesting of birds and other elevated food products like fruit and berries from the trees.

Tupu-ā-nuku

Tupu-ā-nuku is the eldest of Matariki's daughters. She spends her time with Papatūānuku tending to plants. She pays special attention to making sure they have everything they need to grow big and strong so they can produce kai , rongoā , and kākahu kākahu clothing materials.

Waipuna-ā-rangi 

Waipuna-ā-rangi welcomes the winter sky waters in all their forms  ua rain ua nganga hai and hukarere snow included. She sees how these waters contribute to the healthy cycle of our earth, and also, the effects when they don't arrive as required.

Waitī 

Waitī Maia one of the stars in Te Kāhui o Matariki, the Pleiades star cluster. A star connected to fresh water and the creatures that live in rivers, streams and lakes.

Waita

Waita is the star associated with the ocean and the many kinds of food Māori gather from the sea. Can you follow this recipe to make salt dough, and then create your own ocean of sea creatures? Store your salt dough in an airtight container as it keeps well for a few days.

Ururangi 

Ururangi is the star which determines the nature of the winds for the year. Māori have always maintained a keen interest in the wind. It was only by harnessing the power of the wind that Māori were able to travel to Aotearoa in the very beginning.

I enjoyed seeing all the times tables I know.

Last Year's Swimming Lessons At EnterPrise Pool

 Last year we did swimming lessons. My swimming teacher was Garry and he was grumpy. He does not like it when you are silly or do something wrong. Then we started to do our swimming. We did backstroke,butterfly,and sadly i forgot the rest.Then we jumped out of the pool it was freezing then we got changed and hopped on the bus because it was raining otherwise we would have walked and then we went back to school and did our school work.

Lent

Lent started yesterday. We got ashes on our forehead to remind us to turn back from sin and turn towards Jesus.
